jQuery plugin for Mango

Now that the 1.3 update of Mango Blog has been released, I can start putting out some of the plugins I’ve been working on which require some of 1.3’s functionality.

The first – and simplest! – is a plugin that will include the jQuery JavaScript library in your pages.

Why do this with a plugin?, you may ask. The reason is that, as more and more Mango plugins use jQuery (I’ve got a couple in the pipeline), there is a danger that every one of them would include its own jQuery file, leading to the possibility of multiple instances (and perhaps different versions) of jQuery on the same page.

With this plugin, plugin developers can simply specify that the jQuery plugin is required for their own plugin to work; jQuery will be called in the page header before any other JavaScript added by the individual plugins.

Note: the plugin version, 1.3.2, corresponds to the version of jQuery that it uses.

Plugin version:
1.3.2
